Does this mean that I will be able to dual wield healing one-handers? A little too much maybe? Not even sure that this is not done now but you would lose the core points in the resto tree if you did go this route.
Looks definitely fun! While I, too, am excited over the ability to fit smite into a healing play-style, the coefficients will just not be worth bringing a full-time smiter. Not even sure that this is not done now but you would lose the core points in the resto tree if you did go this route Spell weapons are main-hand-only for that very reason. As far as shaman is concerned, I feel like there aren't enough talents.
I've built both resto and ele builds and I still have points left over. Yes, I could take pvp talents, but why should I? I want more healing talents if I'm healing, more spell-casting talents if I'm casting. I've been trying to make a Combat Rogue build, and unless raiding changes dramatically I know healing does, but DPSing seems to be the same , there's a lot of talents that are underperforming in a PvE aspect.
I can see getting them if DPS are going to be more responsible for taking damage than in WotLK, but other than that, I'm wracking my head around the tree trying to figure out what to take as I make my way to the bottom of the tree. You can probably start imagining the possibilities from that example.
Priests and Paladins get bonus healing from spending points in their Holy trees. It has a very analogous feel to the skill synergies added to Diablo II in patch 1. This also fixed a flaw in Diablo II's system, where you tended to hold back on spending your skill points on abilities that would rapidly become obsolete, because you wanted more points in the good stuff. The idea is you get to spend points on talents you want to spend them on, rather than having talent choices forced upon you by the demands of raiding.
They're trying to make the game less of a minmaxing exercise. In addition to the Mastery attributes on each tree, Mastery will also be an item stat, which will grant an increase to the Mastery bonuses of the tree you've spent the most points in. Post by Rankkor one thing that bugs me about the talent changes is this. I hope the way they implement is Way 1. Post by Kalken Blizz said their revamping and adding new racials to make them more advanced as the Worgen and Goblins are.
Which is really something they should've done when they introduced Blood Elves and Draenei. Post by chase I took a look at the page that was linked by uffeman, and if they keep it how it looks in the image, I'm wondering just how many talents we'll still have after they remove all the "boring" ones.
We still have, according to the Talent Calculator here on Wowhead, 71 points that are spendable. If we don't have as much talents to put them into, does that mean it'd be possible to max out every talent on a single tree? Ironically thats already possible with one class.
I can't remember which though but I think it was Affliction Warlock. Edit: Yup I checked it's affliction. You actually have talent 1 point left over too. This makes Aff locks a very underbloated tree. This site makes extensive use of JavaScript. Please enable JavaScript in your browser. Live PTR. Classic TBC. Classic Theme Thottbot Theme. Dwarves are for Protection due to Stoneform and slightly more stamina. Dwarves are for any spec's PvP counterpart. Priest- Dwarf is preferable due to raids that require fear wards. Human priests are able to also be played for a main tank's healer in raids.
Rogue- Night elf is the best due to increased stealth effectiveness and slightly increased agility for an increase to all weapons' damage and are by-far the best for quick-kill or even 1-shot PvP builds.
Humans are only if you plan on your rogue being used only for PvE DPS sword specialization and combat specialization , or if you plan to make a stunlock PvP build with maces. Dwarves are the best for PvP or standard PvE tanking due to increased stamina and stoneform.
